Rndomness

I seem have all the greatest ideas for blog postings at all the wrong times - while driving, falling asleep at night, etc.

So, what's going on right now? Blue, my dog, bit Cricket, a friend's dog, this morning and we just went round and round with her trying to get the dressing changed. We are pet sitting Cricket for the week and this is not a great way to start off. I hope things do get better.

I took my foster dog, Riley, to petco and met up with a potential adopter. They waffled back and forth on adopting him and in the end, they decided he would be good for their family. Riley is a nice dog, just not my favorite kind to foster - small and obnoxious.

Grant is crawling around like crazy and I am glad that he is contained to one room, otherwise the house would be an even bigger disaster.

Madigan is nearing the terrible 3s and they look to be worse than her 2s. Lucky me.

Muggy here and it is raining right now. How I wish we had whole house AC.

A few of my favorite things

These are a few of my favorite photos that I thought I would share.

Brooklyn the Black of Labrador. He is a purebred black Labrador Retriever. He was born October 23, 2002. He is a big soft pile of fur.

Christopher and I at tea time. This was taken while I was pregnant with Madigan. We have very few recent photos of us together - often I am the photographer and Christopher is holding (or chasing) Madigan.

Olive hanging out in our Christmas tree. Blue is looking at her, probably wondering what she is doing there. Thankfully the tree is artificial and sturdy.

Brooklyn's paw print after a winter storm. I love the simplicity and clarity of the shot.

I can see this tree from the deck off the master bedroom. You are looking west towards the coast range. This tree turns the most brilliant colors in the fall and holds its leaves for a long time. I love how the color of the tree pops against the background.

Whew!

Ok, two kids, one husband, multiple dogs, and an elusive cat have me worn out. When does mom get a day off? What holidays does she get to take off from work? Though I fear taking a day off would just lead to more work later. Back to the grind now...
